Yoga Practice

Yoga is an ancient discipline that explores, develops, and integrates the body, mind, and spirit. Yoga systematically stretches and strengthens, hones and tones each and every muscle, tendon, and ligament throughout the body, increasing circulation to the internal organs and glands, quieting and calming the nervous system, and improving focus and concentration. This ancient system of self-care brings vitality, health, deep relaxation, and peace of mind.

When able to incorporate heat into the practice, the muscles and joints loosen, which decreases resistance to movement. Motion creates heat from the inside out; a heated room provides heat from the outside in. This assists the body to move deeper into a pose, with less chances of injury.

Kelowna Hot Yoga Studio includes various new styles of yoga that are heart-oriented and spiritually inspiring, yet grounded in a deep knowledge of optimal body alignment in the poses. Encouraging students to listen to their body, respect its wisdom, and progress at their own pace.

Deep relaxation is taught in each class after completion of the postures. The intention of the instructors at Kelowna Hot Yoga Studio is to assist students and athletes in maximizing the development of their physical, mental, and spiritual well being: a truly priceless health advantage.
